Herb Wedding Decor

We are always on the look out for the latest wedding trends and one we have been getting a few requests for lately is styling with herbs.

I love that herb themed centrepieces and table decorations are the perfect partner to our rustic range of hire items including hessian table runners, napkin bands and chair bows.

We’ve trawled the internet and found our favourite herbal images to inspire you if you are considering this for your wedding theme….

Herb themed wedding favours

I love this idea, a little potted herb for each of your guests to keep and grow forever as a memento of your wedding day. They would also be super cute place cards.

Wedding Ceremony

I love the use of lavender pots with Antique Americana Chairs for your wedding ceremony. This theme can be carried through to your registry or guest book table or a for a stylish lolly or desert buffet.

Herbal Centrepieces

There are lots of ideas and I love them all. My favourites are the whimsical glass domes and apothecary jars with floral arrangements and moss in and underneath them. You can add in some fun with teacups and spoon table numbers.

Table Decor

Now add all of that together with our hessian items and you have an earthy, relaxed and timeless wedding theme. Perfect locations for a wedding with this setting are Polly’s Country Kitchen or Limpinwood Lodge.

Our display at O’Reilly’s Wedding Open Day

We had the pleasure of exhibiting at the O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyard Wedding Open Day yesterday. We had a great day at an awesome venue and met lots of excited brides and grooms planning their upcoming wedding.

We designed three tables…but sadly got so busy we only have images of two! Our Rustic table is full of lovely hessian details and the Damask Glamour theme is perfect for those looking for something modern.

O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyard

This Saturday 25th August we are exhobiting at the O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyard Wedding open day.

The weather has been perfect the last few days and I can’t thingk of a better way to spend a Saturday so whether you are getting married or not, make sure you come down and visit between 10am – 3pm!

O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyards is one of the premium boutique cellar doors in South East Queensland. Located in the peaceful Canungra Valley, in the Gold Coast Hinterland, we are a scenic 60 minute drive south of Brisbane and 35 minutes drive west of the Gold Coast. This area is one of Queensland’s newly emerging wine growing regions. Canungra Valley soil is well suited to grapes, as the rich river loam has built up over centuries by the flooding creek and a naturally occuring layer of gravel a metre under the surface allows for excellent drainage.

The vineyard is owned and operated by the O’Reilly family, famous for providing legendary hospitality in the area for over 80 years.

Local Canungra residents planted these vines in November 1998. With a lot of smiles and many friends, we harvested our first crop in February 2000 with our first wines becoming available in August later that year. Since then our wines have been recognised with a number of awards both nationally and internationally. …

When the vineyards were first established, we spent a number of weeks trying to define our mission for the vineyards. After much laughter and a few bottles of wine later, we noticed that we had talked a lot about the simple pleasures of life. Good wine, good food, good friends and generous hospitality in beautiful surroundings. So our mission became ‘Celebrating the Simple Pleasures of Life’… the feeling you get when driving down the white gravel Vineyard drive and lazing on the cool homestead verahdah, you certainly get the feeling that life is indeed great!

Hessian Table Runners

Our rustic hessian table runners are 2m long and 40cm wide. They have lace edging and are the perfect starter to dress up your rustic or vintage table top.

Hessian Chair Bows

Sugar & Spice Events offers stylish hessian (burlap) bows, a great way to add an extra element of flair to plain chairs covers and tabletop decor. These beautiful, sashes feature hemmed edges and a double bow. Pair with our range of chair covers or event chairs to customise your celebration to suit your individual tastes.

Mason Jars & Bottles

Wedding Centrepieces – Gold Coast

We are putting the finishing touches on the hire section of our site and soon it will be perfect!

In the meantime, we thought we would give you some ideas on the amazing centrepieces we can provide for your wedding or party.

Baroque Urn – Wedding Centrepiece

These baroque style urns are gorgeous vases that can be filled with flowers or feathers. When placed on our stone pedestals they create a striking feature for your entrance way or ceremony decoration. Urns have silver shattered mirror detail and for even more glamour, add our crystal drops to hang from the top.

Beaded Cup Candeabra – Wedding Centrepiece

These striking wedding centrepieces stand 106cm tall. Nine clear beaded cups hold tea light candles which bath your table in soft candlelight. They are tall enough not to block sight lines across the table and are the perfect choice for a luxury wedding and couples who like bling! Add a floral wreath at the bottom to soften the look and bring your table to life.

Eiffel Vases – Wedding Centrepieces

Marquee Weddings – Gold Coast

One thing we discovered at the recent wedding expo was that many couples are looking for a venue to host their marquee wedding on the Gold Coast and have not been able to find a suitable property. Well, have we got some doozies for you!
