Fairy Wonderland Parties – Kids Party Venue Gold Coast

Merry Monday morning to you all! It’s the start of another beautiful wintery week on the Gold Coast and I am excited to see what fabulous events and inspiration are in store for us.

Today’s blog is showcasing our whimiscal Fairy Wonderland Birthday Parties which are held at the Aerial Angels Academy www.aerialangelacademy.com.au

The party room is transformed into a pretty pink soiree with a forest backdrop, pink plates and cups, grass place mats and a fairy photo station.

Our themed catering package includes star cookies, fruit rockets, sandwiches and of course flower cup cakes.

Party Entertainment is provided by the fabulous team from Clown Capers www.clowncapers.com.au and Trixi Fairy runs the party from begginning to end with face painting, games, limbo, story telling, ukelele sing-alongs and balloon twisting.

Kids Party Venue – Circus Spectacular Birthday Parties

It’s been a long time since I’ve written anything about our fantastic children’s birthday party packages so the next few posts is going to be about them.

Today’s blog is about our incredible Circus Spectacular Parties which are held at the Aerial Angels Academy in Burleigh http://www.aerialangelsacademy.com.au/. We can look after everything, including party decorating, catering, party bags, circus invitations, children’s party entertainment and of course a fun and interactive circus workshop with our professional trainers.

First up is our circus photo station. Children get dressed up in spangles and sparkles and pile in front of a red velveteen curtain to have their photo taken. This is emailed after the party to keep forever as a momento of their special day.

Our professional trainers then take party goers through an introductory course of all things circus: trapeze, juggling, hula hoop, mini-tramp and even tight-rope walking. These circus workshops are fun and interactive and a signature of our birthday parties at Aerial Angels.

After the workshop, children have worked up an appetite and head back into the party room for themed circus party food. They are treated to a delectable range of fruit rockets, sandwiches, mallow pops, star cookies and of course clown cupcakes.

The talented team from Clown Capers www.clowncapers.com.au then get the party started with face painting, musical games and of course balloon twisting.

Illuminated Events

I was talking to a smashing bride-to-be last night and we began discussing the possibility of illuminated furniture for her engagement party. I woke up this morning and was all inspired to bring you some fabulous images of events from around the world that utilise LED furniture to make their event SHINE!

We love the use of light up furniture for pre-dinner drinks or a cocktail function. LED furniture looks amazing when scattered throughout the room as feature peices. How awesome are the light up couches???!!

Cocktail Wedding Receptions

To cocktail or not to cocktail….that is the question….

Now, it’s no secret that I’m a ”big white wedding” kind of girl. I love a wedding to be treated formally with all the tradition and glamour you would expect from a royal celebration. However, after writing this blog I may have been convereted just a little bit! If you’re not into tradition, and want a great party that can be enjoyed by your guests, a cocktail reception is a good way to go.

Cocktail receptions can be super stylish if done correctly and decor wise, are an opportunity to utilise some gorgeous furniture that you would not usually need for a sit down dinner. If styled and planned correctly so that there is something frequently happening, they can turn into a rockin’ party. Your guests also get a chance to mingle more easily with each other.

Typically they run shorter than a formal reception, but this is of course up to you. I love the idea of a cocktail party being held at a gorgoeus property that starts in the late afternoon and burns on into the wee hours. One thing you do need to be aware of is that while catering is generally cheaper, alcohol can be a more hefty bill as the focus is on drinking, dancing and socialising. Cocktail parties give you the opportunity to be really creative with catering…so don’t go for the norm…be adventurous!

If you are really looking for a way to make the party ROCK – consider specialty entertainment such as fire performers and costumed characters who will break the ice and encourage conversation. Check ot the below AMAZING options – The Champers Parlour, Chic Shelves and Roaming Feast. With a standard reception there are things constantly happening…entree, main, desert, cutting of the cake, speeches, bridal waltz etc. To keep the flow of the night it’s important to have things “happen” so the party doesn’t fade out.

Orange Blossom Tea Parties

For as long as I can remember, my Dad has called me his little Orange Blossom. He has three daughters, but I’m the only Orange Blossom. I think maybe it’s because he had me later in life and I was his baby girl…he has a soft spot for me.

When it came time to name the Tea Party division of the company, I couldn’t think of anything better. It’s just SO CUTE!

I love tea parties. Not your average “high tea” you would get in a restaurant or hotel….I feel that these lack personality and fun. I like the Mad Hatter kind of tea party, the topsy-turvy-makes-no-sense-too-much-going-on kind. I love it when we are commisiond to decorate a child’s birthday in this style, and actually look for any excuse to throw them for anyone.

Lolly Buffet Jars for Hire

We have recently purchased some gorgeous new lolly jars that are available to hire for your wedding or party. They are exquisite! We have given them fairytale names of course….so they can be easily identified when you order. So here’s the whole gang:

Belle – is the one shaped like a bell! (go figure). Do you remember Beauty and the Beast? There was a rose that was kept in a glass dome…and also Belle was the lead character.

Cinderella – well this one is my favourite so I named it after me!

Pinocchio – is tall and thin like the wooden doll’s nose

Red Queen – This one reminds me of a tall chess piece from the evil Queen’s army in Alice in Wonderland

Snow White – honestly, I have no reason. I just wanted to call one Snow White.

TweedleDee – This one has a round belly like the twins also from Alice in Wonderland

The Red Queen

I was dreaming about elaborate table settings all night! In my dream, I was doing a showcase in a big top and half of it was mine to deck out. There was red velvet draping and a lolly buffet like you’ve never seen before….satin and moss and gold show plates and so much detail. I set a long banquet table and all down the middle were chess pieces.

I felt that I had dreamed something fabulous…so went searching for other similer tables and this is what I found…it’s pretty much my exact dream!!!

Scintillating Ceremonies…

A merry Monday to you all. What better way to start a week than to take a trip to wedding land (a place I rarely leave) and explore some incredible ceremony set ups.

First up is the Rustic look. This weding arch is unbelivably gorgeous and in fact has inspired us to get one similar made. It will be making it’s debut at a wedding on 6th October and pics will be up on the blog shortly afterwards. In my opinion, wedding arches are the most important aspect of ceremony decor because it’s what everybody looks at and what you say your vows under, so be adventurous! Make a statement about who you are…

Loving this arch, it makes me think of Holland and theatre! The brides dress is a little bit amazing also…love the ruffeled train.

If classic romance is more your style, no matter what the venue, cloth it in sheer fabrics and mood lighting…the results are spectacular!

This one screams romance, though it’s only good for photographic purposes because where would you walk? If you have a venue with a shiny marble floor, move the candles to the side and watch the light dance off the reflection. You can acheive a stunning effect for a small cost.

We love ceremonies “in the round” because it gives more of your guests a front row seat.

We especially love chairs spiralling around like a snails shell meaning everyone gets a front row view of the bride walking “up” the aisle…

I’m an absolute sucker for anything that whiff’s of an Enchanted Garden so the next few pics have me swooning….

Now, I’ve saved the best ’til last. This isn’t really my personal style but how amazing is it!! This was a DIY wedding and they must be a very crafty couple to pull this off. AMAZING!!!

A tribute to table numbers….

I’ve been doing some reserach into “different” table numbers. I loathe the standard white plastic square with a black number perched atop a silver stand….it’s reminiscent of an RSL buffet in my humble opinion.

There is no reason why table numbers need to be boring, if a little creativity and thought is employed, they can beautifully add to your table decor and become a talking piece among your guests.

First up we have the feathered table numbers….aren’t these just a little bit gorgeous and glam! They would look great incorporate in with a feather centrepiece or could be nestled in among flowers by any fabulous florist.

If you have a more relaxed celebration, these paper numbers with floral edging are just too cute….

I love these next ones for a minimalist and modern style…

For an Enchanted Garden theme, you can’t go past these whimsical moss covered numbers…I love it!

These hessian bottle covers would be amazing when added with our Rustic Chic theme…

Or even these wood block numbers…

If you prefer the vintage look, there are some lovely options here….silver spoons, paper roses, distressed frames with shabby prints and a miniature flower pot….so cute!

If your style is retro or colourful these table numbers are exquisite! I love the detail in the rolled quill “4″…

Last but not least…here’s one for boating enthusiasts. They’re not my style but they are so cute I had to add them in…
